You can find Linda Levens working as a teller in Minnesota Lakes Bank’s Mound location. She enjoys helping customers with their banking, taking care of their transactions, and conversing with them. Her favorite part of the job is the social aspect of assisting people when they come into the bank.
Linda is an accountant by trade. “In the past I’ve always worked in manufacturing,” she explains. For her past few jobs, Linda has worked in cost accounting oriented fields. “I enjoy opportunities to interact with people, and this job offers that to me.”
Banking is new to Linda, so getting used to the tasks can be challenging as she learns new processes. “I am always learning new systems to help customers in the most efficient way possible,” Linda says.
Linda grew up in Willmar, Minnesota. After graduating from Willmar High School, she completed the first two years of her four-year degree at a junior college in Willmar. She then attended Hamline University in St. Paul to finish her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Linda worked at Rosemount Emerson, an automation solutions company, for a few years while studying at nights to earn a law degree at Mitchell Hamline School of Law.
Outside of work, Linda likes to get together with friends while scrapbooking and quilting. During the summer she loves to go boating with her family on Lake Minnetonka. Her husband’s passion is boating, and they treat their boat as their cabin. Linda and her family will stay on their boat from Friday to Sunday during the summer months.
Linda has two sons, and her youngest is a senior at Mound-Westonka High School. She attends all of his tennis games and any other sports in which he’s involved. She has been and continues to be the treasurer of the booster organizations for her son’s activities. Linda’s oldest son, a sophomore at the University of Minnesota, is working on a degree in finance.
Another member of the family is Annie, Linda’s ten-year-old yellow lab. Linda loves dogs and enjoys taking Annie for walks when it’s nice outside. “I probably give more dog treats out of the drive-up window than suckers,” she laughs.
